WORKING IN FINLAND
How to get a job in Finland
The employment offices maintained by the society are the most significant agents for jobs in Finland. Local employment office services are available either with the help of an employment consultant or through self-service facilities. Both employed and unemployed jobseekers may register for these services. Local employment offices can provide advice on work permit matters, jobseeking and employment, vocational guidance and career planning, access to training and self-employment.
In Finland there are two official languages, Finnish and Swedish. Approximately 6% of the population speak Swedish. A fair skill of both languages is required in the jobs of the public sector.
